How do I post a result?

We have made posting simple and flexible. There are three different types of result you can post.

Workout of The Day

Posting for a WOD is straight forward. You can either click on the "post result" link when you see the WOD on your gym page or click on "post" in the navigation menu and select "Workout Of The Day". When you post for a WOD your result will not only be ranked overall in your gym and on the site, but also for that specific WOD. Check out a WOD Result Page to see how we organize WOD data.

Workout

You can also post for workouts that are not WODs. Simply click on the "log" link in the navigation menu and click on "workout". Find a workout using the filter options on the right side of the page. Once you find it, click the "post result" link located next to the name of the workout. When you post, the workout result will be given a gym and site rank but will not be ranked for a WOD. The rule of thumb is to always post for a WOD result when you can, even if you are doing the workout a few days behind.

Max Effort

Max Efforts are a good way to track your CrossFit progress. Usually they are a max one rep or a max set of an exercise. For example, max strict/dead hang pull-ups or max deadlift. These results will be given a gym and site rank, and displayed on the benchmarks tab on your profile. You can easily post these results by clicking on the "log" link in the navigation menu, then on "workout", then by searching for the max effort workout you desire. Select "max effort" on the filter options on the right side of the page for better results.
